5 busy “Boss Mums” share their go-to beauty & wellness hacks

When juggling kids, a career, a social life and everything in between, being a mum does take some special superpowers!

As a mother myself, I know just how hard it can be to squeeze in my skincare and wellness regime between getting my boy ready for school, making breakfast and getting ready for work. So, how do you make time for yourself when you have so much on your plate?

We had the pleasure of talking with 5 busy mums to find out their go-to beauty and wellness hacks. Here’s what they had to share, along with my own busy mum beauty hack!

Anna Mitsios – Founder of Edible Beauty Australia, Naturopath

My busy mum hack involves weaving my skincare and wellness supplement routine into my little boy’s morning. We schedule in a supplement time which involves us both having our wellness powders and potions. As my little one brushes his teeth I cleanse and apply my No.3 Exotic Goddess Serum. By the time I have had showered I apply my beauty reset drops and BB crème. My eye serum can sit anywhere in the kitchen, I tend to pop it on just before I head out the door to give my eyes a burst of brightness.

One of the most helpful things I do each evening before I go to bed is plan and map out the next day. I get out my supplements, write down what we are eating, and when I will work. This allows me to rest easy at night and to ease into my day with grace.

As a busy Mum, my go-to makeup look when in a rush consists of blending my Loose Mineral Foundation over my Basking Beauty Sunscreen, then adding a layer of mascara and using my lipstick as both a lip colour and a blush! I always remember that beauty comes from the inside and out, so it’s important to hydrate by drinking lots of water, consuming healthy fats and using water-based serums and nourishing oils!

Just before my morning meditation, I like to spritz and inhale the Edible Beauty, Rhapsody Toner mist and let it nourish and hydrate my skin while I meditate. It has the most uplifting citrus scent.

I also add the Edible Beauty Inner Beauty Skin + Gut Renew greens powder to my morning green juice, it is delicious. That way I know that however my day pans out with work or the kids I have included some great superfoods into my diet and the meditation sets me up with a positive mindset.

As a busy working mum with a typically fast-paced schedule, I know how important it is to stop, slow down and re-center after caring for everyone. My favourite way to regenerate my mind, body, soul and skin is to have a weekly self-care pamper in place.

Scheduling some mindful self-love into my planner helps me make sure I actually get around to it. Edible Beauty’s Bloom of Youth Infusion Masks are my secret indulgence for a weekly hydrating, plumping, lifting, and brightening pick-me-up!
