Raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a yearly campaign to raise awareness for the disease that affects thousands of women (and men), and their loved ones every year.

Breast Cancer is the second most common type of cancer overall, and it’s deaths currently account for 14% of all cancer deaths in Australian women.

2020 has been a powerful reminder that we are all in this together, and the same holds true when it comes to breast cancer. This is why we have decided to donate to two incredible organisations during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For the entire month of October 2020, we will be donating 25% of profits made on our US site to Breast Cancer Action.

Over the last weekend of October (31st – 1st), we will be donating 25% of profits from AUS sales of our & Sleeping Beauty Mousse to The McGrath Foundation.

Both organisations do amazing work in raising awareness for and providing support to Breast Cancer patients, and now is as good a time as any to support them!

The McGrath Foundation

The McGrath Foundation has made a valuable commitment to ensure every family experiencing breast cancer has the support of a Breast Care Nurse, no matter where they live – for free. They have been supporting over 90,000 families through their experiences with Breast Cancer since 2005, but as the numbers of the disease are growing, the need for more nurses is too.

The McGrath Breast Care Nurses provide physical, psychological and emotional support to breast cancer patients and their families from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment. The McGrath Foundation services are available to anyone with breast cancer, for free.

We would absolutely love your help in raising money for this incredible organisation this weekend!

Breast Cancer Action

Breast Cancer Action’s mission is to achieve health justice for all women at risk of and living with breast cancer. They also raise awareness for minority women who are more at risk of death from Breast Cancer and have a harder time accessing support and health care.

Breast Cancer Action focuses on systemic interventions that address the root causes of Breast Cancer and produce broad public health benefits to ultimately lower the death rates of the disease.

Breast Cancer Action hopes that no community bears a disproportionate burden of diagnosis or death from the disease in future.
