  • Butterfly Pea is a botanical grown in South East Asia. It is known for its mesmerising blue colour, which reflects its anthocyanin content. Anthocyanins are known for their ability to fight free radical damage and to prevent oxidative damage. Butterfly Pea tea has traditionally been used to improve vitality.

Blueberry Leaves contain polyphenols and flavonoids that protect against oxidative damage. Scientists are currently studying the ability for blueberry leaves to assist in improving insulin sensitivity.

Gymnema has a long history of use in Indian Ayurvedic medicine. The Hindi name “gurmar” means “destroyer of sugar”. Chewing the leaves of the plant destroys the body’s ability to identify sweet tastes, providing the reason for this name.

Cinnamon's herbal actions come from a substance called cinnameldehyde, naturally present in the spice and known for its ability to balance sugar levels. It adds a spicy overtone to this tea.

  • Directions

Add 1 tsp per cup of boiling water. Infuse for 5 to 10 minutes. If desired, add sweetener of your choice and a squeeze of lemon juice. Watch the beautiful vivid blue colour develop before your eyes and change to purple when lemon juice is added. This blend is also delicious chilled. Store in a cool and dry place.

    Ingredients

Butterfly Pea Flowers, Goats Rue*, Blueberry Leaf*, Gymnema*, Cinnamon*, Chen Pi*.

Beautiful Tea

This tea is so pretty, it is the most beautiful colour. As a PCOS sufferer I was really keen to try this tea to assist with balancing my hormones and I have no complaints, it compliments everything else I am doing wonderfully. Minimal taste which is good too.

A lovely cuppa

As a earl grey tea lover, it was nice to find a tea that is caffeine free and just something different and easy to drink. It does (of course) have a herbal note but is definitely not over powering. For me it brings back those day spa memories just relaxing and switching off. The gorgeous hue of blue/violet is just so pretty!
