Eight lesser-known superfoods you need to eat for radiant, healthy skin

We all know the importance of getting in our daily dose of superfoods like kale, broccoli, and berries. However, eating a diet full of variety is just as important for providing your body and skin with vitamins, antioxidants, and nutrients!

What we eat has a direct impact on our complexion, and can make the difference between dull skin, breakouts and sensitivity, or radiant, youthful and clear skin.

Below I have outlined 8 lesser-known superfoods you should be adding to your diet to achieve a radiant and healthy complexion from within.

1.   Hibiscus

Hibiscus is often touted as the “natural botox plant”. When applied topically, it has a wonderful ability to firm the skin by maintaining skin elastin and reducing the activity of elastase, which breaks down our collagen. Prickly Pear cactus (also known as nopal cactus) is known for its unique antioxidant profile. It contains the flavonoids kaempferol and quercetin which have been studied for their ability to promote wound healing and even support healthy glucose and cholesterol levels. 3.   Broccoli Sprouts
