5 Unconventional Ways to Detox Your Skincare Routine

With the whirlwind of January having passed, February is the perfect time to set any intentions for the year ahead. Just as you might clean out your wardrobe or pantry every few months, it’s important to do the same for your beauty products. This could be something as simple as checking used by dates or really delving into your everyday routine to discover exactly what ingredients you’re applying to your skin.  1. Take a Digital Detox

While it may seem daunting, a digital detox can be beneficial to more than just your state of mind. Did you know that hours of daily exposure to screens can impact your skin? The high-energy visible light (HEV) or “blue light” emitted from our screens has been subjected to multiple studies in recent years. With links to both sleep and skin health issues, a 2014 study discovered that this blue-violet light can cause more hyperpigmentation than UVB radiation!
