Going on holiday with a baby may seem more complicated than before, however it’s really no mean feat! Armed with some easy tricks and a bit of extra patience up your sleeve, you and bubba will be sure to have a wonderful vacation together! Here are some simple ways to make traveling with bubba a smoother experience.
One of the most important things to do when travelling with your baby is to be fully prepared with all the baby necessities, such as nappies, swaddling, toxin-free baby skincare, bibs, baby wipes, etc. This means you are fully armed for the everyday aspects of caring for your baby and won’t be caught off-guard without a clean diaper or nappy rash cream when the time calls for it!
Don't forget to bring any organic baby food required with you, so you don't get stuck with poor options. If you do get stuck, most places will have avocado and banana which can be mashed for a 100% natural bubba meal.
Stick as close to routine as possible
Regardless of whether you’re on a short road trip or long-haul flight, aim to stick to your baby’s regular sleeping and eating schedule, as to make it easiest on bubba. If you’re changing time-zones, this can be a little more challenging, so you may need to compensate by adjusting the schedule a few hours either side of the time difference until it becomes normal.
Make yourself at home
As soon as you arrive at your accommodation, unpack all of bubba’s care items and set up a “baby station” with everything at easy access.
If it’s an option, rent a fully self-serviced apartment or place on Air BnB over a hotel, which will make it easier to settle in to a homely and self-sufficient environment.
Share Bubba’s Toiletries
This is a sneaky but excellent tip. Instead of packing all of your usual toiletries and bubba’s kit, see what items you can both use and save on packing space! Many adults, including ourselves, enjoy using plenty of items from the Edible Bubba collection in everyday life, such as these products here, and it makes even more sense to double up when travelling (we’re sure bubba won’t mind sharing!).
